Celebrating 1,500 Hours of Dedication and the Beginning of New Careers
There are milestones worth celebrating, and completing 1,500 hours of cosmetology school is undoubtedly one of them.
I recently had the privilege of photographing a branding session for several of the incredible women at Glam + Grit as they prepare to graduate and begin their careers in the beauty industry. Behind every smile in these photos are countless early mornings, late nights, hands-on practice, and unwavering dedication. These women have spent the last 1,500 hours refining their craft, learning new techniques, and preparing to confidently serve future clients.
This session was about more than professional headshots. It was about documenting the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. As they step into salons, launch businesses, and continue pursuing their dreams, these images will represent not only who they are today but also everything they've worked so hard to become.
One of my favorite parts of branding photography is capturing the personality behind the profession. Every stylist has a unique story, creative eye, and passion for helping others feel confident. My goal was to create images that reflected each graduate's individuality while also celebrating the community they built together throughout their time at Glam + Grit.
To the graduates, congratulations. Earning 1,500 hours isn't just checking a box—it's proof of your perseverance, commitment, and love for your craft. I have no doubt this is only the beginning of incredible careers, and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to preserve this exciting season for each of you.
